Acne Treatment Options (Part 1)

Dealing with acne or pimples can be quite stressful yet you need patience in order to clear your skin or at least, minimize the impact of the acne. Let’s glance through a few serums that can help.

You may also consider serums like:

1. Salicylic Acid eg Cosrx BHA toner or The Ordinary Salicylic acid anhydrous solution or their regular and popular salicylic acid, Paula’s Choice 2% BHA liquid Exfoliant

2. Glycolic acid eg Pixi Glow Tonic or The Ordinary Glycolic solution or The Inkey list Glycolic Toner,

There are other products in the form of cleansing pads if you wish to avoid serums
Eg cleansing pads

After using these serums, be sure to use sunscreen during the day as they tend to leave your skin sensitive.

For acne prone skin, I usually recommend a light weight oil such as The Ordinary Hemi Squalene oil for daytime use before your sunscreen.

You can consider oils like marula and rose hip too even if you have normal skin.

Personally, I hardly wear make-up but I wish to do so, such an oil works best in allowing for a matte finish.

For moisturizers, look out for light weight moisturizers eg The Inkey List moisturizers - they are targeted at specific skin needs eg
Their vitamin B, C and E moisturizer is geared towards normal skin
Their Multi biotic moisturizer is aimed at oily skin.

Let’s deelve into more skin care serums in the next post!
