Facial Care: A Beginner's Guide

Facial care can be quite confusing but I'm going to break it down for you.

The first step is the cleansing stage: This is where you use your face wash or soap or cleanser to get rid of dirt, make up and other impurities. Remember : a toner is kit a cleanser. A toner comes after cleanser.

If you wear make up, the first step is to use a make up remover eg micellar water, or cleansing balm or face wipe. You can also use cleansing oils.

2]The exfoliating step: At this point, you want to remove any dead skin cells. You can use a face scrub, Sponge or face brush. If you want to start off with exfoliating Toners, you can start off with a brand like the neutrogena acne stress control or any salicylic acid serum.

Remember: If you use any physical exfoliating product eg brush, Sponge or scrub, don't use chemical ones like the neutrogena toner or the ORDINARY brand or any form of chemical products. You may cause skin irritation.

3] If you used physical exfoliation, then you can follow with hydrating toner and then your moisturizer. If you used chemical exfoliant, then move to your moisturizer straight away. After moisturising, you can use face oil or sunscreen.

PS: Don't use a face scrub more than twice a week.

Hope this is helpful.
